Driving from Bologna or Rimini: get out from the motorway A 14 to the Cesena – Nord (Cesena – North) tollgate and take the national road E 45 directed to Rome as far as the Cesena - Ovest (Cesena - West) exit. Turn right on the national road n. 9 “Via Emilia”, towards Forlì – Bologna. Passing a small town called Capocolle, the way to Bertinoro begins right after the traffic light, on the left. by public transportation

For those flying in, the nearest major airport is the Bologna Guglielmo Marconi International Airport (BLQ) which has good connectivity to many major locations. You may also want to check for flights to Forlì (FRL) and Rimini (RMI) Airports, reachable from several European cities especially via low cost companies.

Another possibility is to arrive at one of the two Milan airports then proceed to the Milan Central Train Station, take a train to Forlì, and proceed as indicated below. Train schedules can be found here.

If you arrive at Rimini Airport, you should take a train (direction Bologna or Milan), get off at Cesena (about a 20-minute trip), and then take a taxi to Bertinoro. Otherwise, you can get off from the train at Forlì and proceed as indicated below.

If you arrive at Forlì airport, probably the easiest option for reaching Bertinoro is to take a taxi (+39 0543 31111). The trip should cost around 20 €

Guglielmo Marconi International Airport, which serves Bologna, is about 10 km to the north-west of the city center. From the airport, you have two options for reaching the train station:

from Bologna train Station to Forlì or Forlimpopoli train Station

Numerous trains run between Bologna and Forlì or Forlimpopoli. The trip takes 30-60 minutes depending on the train type. For complete train departure times and further information, please consult the Italian Railways web site.

from Forlì or Forlimpopoli train station to Bertinoro

The simplest way to reach Bertinoro from Forlì or Forlimpopoli is to take a bus.

Due to *summer schedule *the only bus going directly from Forlì to Bertinoro is bus 134, which runs only twice a day: at 06.10 and 07.10 am. The bus stop (located in "via Volta") is just outside Forlì train station (on the left-hand when coming out).

From Forlimpopoli station: you can take the bus 121 direction Forlimpopoli to the terminus "Forlimpopoli centro" (just two stops) and then the bus 121 direction Bertinoro. Or you can walk directly to the terminus "Forlimpopoli centro" located in via Mazzini (about 800 m from the station) and then take the line 121 direction Bertinoro. Another option for reaching Bertinoro from Forlì or Forlimpopoli train station is to take a taxi (+39 0543 31111). The trip should cost around 15-25 €.
